Marion (Mandell) Lawrence, 89, of Sunrise, FL, and formerly of CT, died peacefully on Sunday, September, 19th in Tamarac, FL. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Milton S. and Anne (Bauman) Mandell. Marion moved to Hartford from NY in 1933 with her family, where she attended Weaver High School and later the University of Connecticut. She returned back to NY, where she did social work, received a Masters equivalent at Adelphi University, and taught in Queens, as a remedial reading teacher until her retirement. After her retirement in the early 90’s, Marion moved to Sunrise, FL. She was a member of Congregation Adath Israel Synagogue in Middletown and was active in Hadassah.
