Marion Kittell Erickson

Troy Marion Kittell Erickson, of McChesney Court, died Saturday at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Brunswick, she was daughter of the late Stephen Wilson and Martha C. Richards Kittell and wife for 64 years of Carl G. Erickson. She was a resident of Troy’s East Side for the past 85 years and was educated at Troy public schools, Cornell University and Russell Sage College, from which she graduated in 1934.

Mrs. Erickson was a writer, first as a reporter for the Troy Record, now the Record Newspapers, from 1934 to 1941. Later she was editor-in-chief of the Russell Sage Alumnae Quarterly for a period of 10 years. She also worked at Russell Sage in several other capacities for several years.

She attended the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church in Troy, and was active in alumnae affairs at Russell Sage College.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son Carl S. Erickson of Troy.
