Marion Elizabeth (Norman) Lesi, 82, of Cromwell, wife of John Lesi, Jr. for 54 years, passed away on Friday, May 29th at Yale – New Haven Hospital. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Laura G. (Day) Norman. Marion was a longtime resident of Cromwell, serving as a Registered Nurse for 42 years. She attended the Middlesex School of Nursing, graduating in 1950. She worked at the former Cromwell Crest for many years, building lifelong friendships with many of her co-workers there. She was a kind, loving, warm-hearted wife and mother who will be remembered for her strong work ethic, sense of humor, sharp wit, and willingness to help others. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Melanie Savage and Alison Lesi, both of Cromwell; her brothers, Richard Norman and his wife, Arlene, of Warren, MA and Merton Norman of North Branford; a sister, Dorothy Norman, of Putman; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Norman of Kansas City, KS, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, Misty. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Carl Norman. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Oncology Departments at both Yale – New Haven and Hartford Hospitals, the Middlesex VNA, Middlesex Hospital; as well as to the staff at Cromwell Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Cromwell.
