Marion D. Burns, 92, of Bristol, widow of John M. Burns, passed away Sunday November 23, 2008 at home.
She was born August 1, 1916 in Middletown, daughter of the late James and Delia (Riley) Dunn. A Bristol resident most of her life, Marion was a teacher in Glastonbury and also St. Joseph Catholic School and South Side Elementary School in Bristol until her retirement in 1982. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Larson and her husband Douglas of Bristol; her two grandsons, John Larson and his wife, Ann of Boston, MA and Michael Larson of Bristol; her loving niece, Patricia Maher of Bristol; her extraordinary friend, Mary Provenzano of Bristol; her good friend, Stella DePalma of Bristol; and several other nieces and nephews.
