He died Tuesday morning December 27, 2011 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston South Carolina. He was born January 21, 1923 in Mt. Victory to Henry A and Ernestine (Bishop) Wagner. He married Jessica Thompson and they later divorced.
Surviving are 5 grandchildren Jessica (Kevin) George, Joshua (Jamie) Wagner, David Wagner, Marsha (John) Wooten, and Cynthia (Scott) Merry, and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons Mike and Jerry Wagner.
Marion was a machine parts inspector at the Charleston Naval Shipyard for 23 years. A veteran of the US Navy serving from 1943 to 1946 as a signalman.
He also was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3313 in Marion.
