Marilyn L. Trussler Reynolds, long time Albuquerque resident, born December 3, 1937 in Denver, CO to Lyle and Lou Trussler, passed away on August 13, 2016.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Luther “Bud” Reynolds. They were married at Christ United Methodist Church in Albuquerque on December 21, 1962. She is also survived by her daughter, Krisitne K. Reynolds Bernard and husband, Paul of San Ramon, CA; and sisters-in-law, Judy Davis of Abilene, TX and Joyce E. Terry and husband, Jack of Colorado Springs, CO.
Marilyn’s family moved to Albuquerque in 1948. She attended Monte Vista Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, and graduated from Highland High School before attending the University of New Mexico where she was a member on the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She graduated in 1959 with a Bachelors of Arts degree. Marilyn taught 3rd grade at Inez Elementary for 5 years and kept contact with a few of her students to this day. Marilyn was made honorary Alumni at McMurry University in Abilene, TX. Marilyn made 30 shawls for the Prayer Shawl Ministry at First United Methodist Church in Albuquerque where she and Bud are members.
