Mrs. Marilyn King, age 91, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Pine Knoll Nursing Home in Carrollton, GA. She was born September 13, 1923 in Canton, OH, to the late Roy Clarke and Evelyn Walker Clarke. Marilyn was the President of the Junior League in Canton and a lifetime member of the Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton. She was a volunteer for over 40 years with the American Red Cross and during that time started the crisis center with the American Red Cross.
Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, Jim King and her brother, William D. Clarke. She is survived by her husband, Charles King and their sons John King & wife Marty of Newnan, GA and Tom King of Bremerton Washington. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie King, Ryan King, Vanessa King and her sister, Dorothy Carlson of Bostic, North Carolina.
