Marilyn Gay was a loving mother, Nanny, sister, and friend, who will be truly loved and missed by all who loved was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm Whitfield, Sr and Rosa Spiers Whitfield; her husband, William “Billy” Smith, Jr.; and her sister Myra Faye Whitfield to cherish her memory are her children, Rhonda (Mike) Paxton, Tanya (Jon) Tomei, Allison (David) Goodman, Kim (Royce) Caswell, Crystal (Ben) Kennedy, and Tina (David) Brito; 23 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and her brothers, Vernon (Marissa) Whitfield, Malcolm (Marilyn) Whitfield, Jr. and her sister, Sheryl (Mark) Freeman.
