Passed away peacefully, at age 83, on November 18, 2015. Marilyn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always the life of any party. She is survived by her loving husband Richard R. of 61 years, daughters Susan Kroll, Lori Edwards, Patti Blakey (husband Geoff) and Terri Culley (husband Rick), 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jeff. Marilyn was an only child born to Albert and Mildred Perlman in Detroit, Michigan. She lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until she went away to Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa. It was there she met a local young man Richard Dick Becker a student at St. Ambrose College. They married in Milwaukee in 1954 and when her parents wanted to move to The West’s Most Western Town of Scottsdale, AZ in 1958, Marilyn and Dick joined them. They went on many fun camping trips and excursions with their girls as well as many great cruises and vacations with their large group of friends to destinations such as Europe, Alaska, Mexico, and the Abaco Islands. Marilyn was always active with the girls’ scouting troops and often worked the Sno-Cone Mobile to raise funds for the PTA. In later years, Marilyn loved to sneak off to the nearby casino for an afternoon of playing Texas Hold’em Poker. We have lost a part of ourselves but our lives have been so enriched by her and our happy, loving memories will live in our hearts forever.
