Marilyn A. Wilson, 85, of Crawfordsville died Monday evening.
She taught elementary art at Ladoga in the early 1960’s followed by over 20 years at Roachdale, Bainbridge, and Russellville prior to retiring in 1987.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, and a charter member Delta Theta Tau sorority of Roachdale.
She was born May 3, 1923 in Chicago to Sigmund and Florence (Stawicki) Ablam and graduated from Roosevelt High School and The Art Institute of Chicago. In 1946 she married William Howard Wilson of Roachdale and resided in Roachdale for 41 years before moving to Crawfordsville in 1987. Mr. Wilson died in August, 1990.
Marilyn was the loving and energetic mother of five children and four grandchildren who survive her: daughters Barb (Pam Myers) of Crawfordsville, Diane (Andy) of Kendall Park, N.J., and Lori of Indianapolis; sons Kimball (Ayn Baltazar) of Hollywood, CA, and Gregg (Susan) of Chicago, IL..
