Marietta A. Andrulewich, age 87, of Edison, died Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by family.

Born and raised in Locust Gap, PA, she graduated from Mount Carmel Catholic High School in 1947 and was married at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Locust Gap, PA in 1952. She lived in Allentown and Strong, PA before moving to Edison in 1955. She worked 22 years as a clerk/typist at Rutgers University before retiring several years ago.

Marietta was an active member at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Highland Park having served as a Eucharist Minister, Trustee and visiting the sick. She had served as a president of St. Paul’s Church PTA, St. Paul’s Church Rosary Society, and the Knights of Columbus Council #6306 Women’s Auxiliary.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Church Senior Citizens, Edison Senior Citizens and the AARP #3885 in North Brunswick. Marietta volunteered at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, McCarrick Nursing Home and the Parker Nursing Home for many years until her health declined.

She loved traveling and volunteering. Her main love was for her 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Charlotte Andrulewich, a brother, Joseph Glessner and a sister, Grace Cannariato.

Marietta is survived by her husband of 65 years, Benjamin Andrulewich, her children; Leonard Andrulewich (Deborah) of South Brunswick, Robert Andrulewich (Cyndi Green) of New York City, Marianne Andrulewich (Stephen Field) of Philadelphia, PA , Linda Dunsavage (Jeffrey) of Dunellen, and John Andrulewich of Edison, a sibling, Sister Jacqueline Glessner, S.S.N.D. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
