Marie T. Evans, 76, of Hanover Township, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She and her husband, David B. Evans, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 9th. Born and raised in St. Clair, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Frances (Zelonis) Thompson. She graduated from St. Clair High School in 1954 and began work in many capacities for Bell Telephone. She left Bell Telephone to raise her family and later worked as a receptionist for Miller Memorial Blood Center. Marie was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, serving as usher, lead usher, telephone ministrant, office receptionist and a member of the Communion Ministry, Stephen Ministry and nominating committee. Marie also enjoyed taking care of her home and garden and traveling to see her grandchildren. Survivors: Her loving husband, David; daughter, Laura E. Sedor and her husband Christopher of Paoli; son, Alan R. Evans and his wife Kay of Olympia, WA; sister, Sandra Becker; niece, Gretchen Becker, both of Palmerton; 5 grandchildren, Eric and Colin Evans and Samantha, Jack and Ellie Sedor.
