Marie (Boutin) Dunlap, 92, passed away peacefully at home in Plymouth on March 3, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Roger L. Dunlap, with whom she celebrated 67 years of marriage. A lifelong Plymouth resident and graduating member of Plymouth High School’s Class of 1948, Marie was the daughter of the late Harry and Mabel Boutin. Marie was an active, contributing member of The Plymouth Garden Club for 36 years, acting as Treasurer for seven years, and most recently serving as its Hospitality Chair. During her years of participation, she was a recipient of the Club’s Jini Award for floral design and The Floribunda Award of Appreciation, presented to one club member for her valuable contributions to the organization. Marie was Past President of the “Plymouth Women of Rotary” and was a longtime member of Chiltonville Church, where she served as Superintendent of the church’s Sunday School, and was a longtime member of the Afternoon Guild. Marie also enjoyed golf, bingo, bowling and, most importantly, being surrounded by the family who loved her so. Marie was a devoted mother to her three children: Paul and his wife Diane (Watts) Dunlap of Plymouth, David and his wife Eileen (Sepmeyer) Dunlap of Charlotte, NC, and her late daughter Jean (Dunlap) Jayko. She was the beloved Gram-mie/GramGram to five grandchildren and their families: Shari (Dunlap) Bates, her husband William, and their children Amber and Joshua; Scott Dunlap, his wife Layne, and their children Ella and Colin; Emily (Jayko) Salvucci, her husband Richard, and daughter Cara – all of Plymouth; Timothy Jayko, his wife Nicole, and daughter Daphne, of Ballston Lake, NY; and Lauren Dunlap of Charlotte, NC. Marie is also survived by former daughter-in-law Anne Dunlap; son-in-law Carl Jayko, his wife Elin, and her son Daniel O’Rourke; step-grandchildren Lindsay (Zoccolante) Childs, her husband Casey, and their children Caroline and Mason, of Maryland, and Sarah Zoccolante, of Boston; sister Joyce (Boutin) Fisk and her husband Jim, of Michigan; brother-in-law James Dunlap of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister to the late Barbara (Boutin) Richmond and her husband Bud of Manomet.
