Marie Josephine Kreps, age 69, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, past away peacefully on February 2, 2010 following a long battle with cancer, at the St. Catherine’s Nursing Center in Emmitsburg.
Born July 21, 1940 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late J. Emanuel and Bessie Mae (Warrenfeltz) Kolb. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul L. Kreps, Sr. in 1971.
Marie was a lifelong parishioner and communicant of St. Anthony Shrine Parish. She was employed by Clara Frock, Victor Cullen, Hillside Nursing Home, Mt. St. Mary’s University, and the after school program in Emmitsburg.
Surviving are children, Elizabeth “Betty” Riffle and husband David of Thurmont, Patrick Kolb, Sr., of Thurmont, Cynthia “Cindy” Faulkner and husband Raymond of Emmitsburg, Susan Kwarta and husband Frank of Emmitsburg, Laura Faulkner and husband Fonzie of Fairfield, PA; a brother, Thomas Kolb and wife Maryann of Mountaindale; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
She was predeceased by siblings, Martha Mummert, Joseph, John, James, and Larry Kolb.
