Marie E. (Korzenewski) Tuel passed away at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Cumberland Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Greenup, IL. Born June 27, 1925 in Junction City, IL to the late Joseph and Anna Puleikis Korzenewski, she was a life-long member of Saint Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval where she served on the Altar Society.
She was a lifetime member of the Women of The Moose and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW. During her lifetime, she donated over 18 gallons of blood to the Red Cross.
Marie worked as head cashier at P. N. Hirsch in Centralia until they closed. Preceded in death by her husband Clarence Tuel; two sons, Gary and Stanley; her parents; brothers Joe, Tony, John and Frank: and her sister Ann Piasse, she is survived by one brother Alex of Abilene, TX; several nephews; and two nieces.
