Marie E. Garis, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in her home on October 8, 2014, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Hattie Mae (Achey) Schock. She had been a secretary at Bethlehem Steel Corp, retiring in 1991. Survivors: daughter Darlene Banister of Abingdon, MD; son Robert Garis and his wife Colleen of Bath; sisters Evalyn G. Schock, Loretta Stout and her husband Kenneth; brother Harry Unangst and his wife Marcia; grandchildren Steven and Christine Garis, Melissa Penick; great-grandchildren MaKenzie, Peyton, Harper. Marie was predeceased by her brothers Willard, Ambrose and James Schock, and by her sister Ruby Yocum.
