Marie Gochanour, 87, of Oglesby, died Tuesday morning, March 30, at the LaSalle County Nursing Home in Ottawa.
Marie was born September 26, 1922 in Waltham Township to Clayton and Bertha (Meador) Chapin. She married Arnold Gochanour on July 20, 1941 in the Utica Baptist Church. He died August 31, 1978. She was a member of Grace Bible Church. She worked at Westclox until her retirement.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Jane Alford of Walden, Arkansas and Stephanie (Edward) Reynolds of Missouri; one son, Arnold James (Sydnee) Gochanour of Oglesby; four grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; one brother, Robert Chapin of Oglesby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; one sister and 2 brothers.
