Marianne (Bendig) Wittkamp Marianne (Bendig) Wittkamp, 77, of Danbury, wife of the late Edmund Wittkamp, died on Saturday, September 14 at the Danbury Hospital. Mrs. Wittkamp was born in Frankfurt, Germany, May 3, 1936, daughter of Artur and Maria Bendig. She attended schools in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1959 first settling in Wilton, Connecticut. An area resident since 1961, Mrs. Wittkamp enjoyed knitting as well as teaching knitting classes to local residents. She assisted in food preparation at the Danbury Senior Center and throughout the area.
