Passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018. Marian was born April 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Vern and Marie (DeWispeleare) Shafer.
She enjoyed knitting and being a 4H leader. She was a member of the Country Christian Church and was a choir director in the church in her younger years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. In September of 1951, she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Harold Batey who preceded her in death on June 29, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Deborah Batey; and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Dave (Vickie) Batey, Deb (John) Hartmann, Pam Peacock, and Bob Batey; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
