Maria Mesa Villarreal, age 84, went home to be with the Lord in he morning of Saturday September 25, 2021 at her daughters residence.
She was born October 14, 1936 in Santa Monica, TX, daughter to Arnulfo Mesa and Cecilia C. Mesa. She was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa, TX and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she raised her six children. She had a strong faith in God and was very devoted to her church. Maria was a very hard working lady, sometimes holding two or three jobs at a time to support her young family due to her being a single mother. She will always be remembered for her love and sacrifice for being a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Maria is preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael Jason Torres and Dustin Ryan Torres.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her, six children, Jose Villarreal (Margarita), Susana Torres, Raul Villarreal, Julian Villarreal, Rebeca Zamarripa (Raul) and Daniel Villarreal (Annabel), 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
