Mrs. Maria Luisa Lillo
(Perez), 73, passed away on Tuesday June 29, 2010 in the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville.
Mrs. Lillo was born in Havana, Cuba. She came to this country in 1960 and settled in Newark. She later moved to Kearny where she has lived for the last 33 years. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University in 1975. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She was employed as the Chief Financial Officer for Edwards & Kelcey Engineering at their Morristown, NJ location for 45 years. She was avid New York Mets fan.
She was predeceased by her husband Manuel Lillo.
She is survived by her son Henry. She was the brother of Pascual Perez and the niece of Feliciana Velasco, Sagrario Velasco and Jose Velasco. She was the cousin of Benjamin Martinez. She is also survived by many other cousins.
