Maria Katherina Pelles, 79 of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2018 at the Healthcare Resort in Colorado Springs with family present.
Maria was born October 12th, 1938 in Czechoslovakia to the late Franz Lang and Marie Krisch. Maria was preceeded in death by her husband of 52 years, Steven J. Pelles, who passed away in 2014.
Maria migrated to Germany during World War II at a young age where she grew up in the Bavarian region of Germany. She met her husband, Steven Pelles in a nearby town and they married soon after. Maria and Steven moved to America where they settled and raised their family. Maria loved to spend time with her children and their families. She also enjoyed reading, working German crossword puzzles, and was an amazing cook and avid gardener.
Maria was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Maria is survived by her 3 sons, Edward, Kenny, and Terry Pelles; her 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Angie who resides in Germany.
