Maria Helena (Reis Café) Almeida, 69, of West Hartford, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020, Thanksgiving Day, at home with her family by her side from complications to Alzheimer’s. Daughter of the late Julia Isabel (Reis) Café and Jose Batista Dos Santos Café, she was born on June 24, 1951 in Moitas Venda, Portugal. Survived by her husband Antonio N. Almeida of West Hartford, daughter Silvia Almeida of Newington, son Miguel Almeida of West Hartford and her beloved pet Nico. Prior to retirement she was employed by Hartford Hospital. Maria is known to everyone as Lena.
