Passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, September 26, 2019 at her residence. She was 71 years old. Maria Guadalupe Castanon was born January 23, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William and Guadalupe (Isquerido) Castanon. She married the love of her life, Juan Saucedo on August 8, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of the Saginaw Women’s Bowling Association and served on the bowling league board. Maria also served as secretary of the Camargo Women’s League for many years.
She was an avid bowler and competed in many different bowling tournaments across Michigan and the United States. Maria also enjoyed spending time at the casino, where she would occasionally win. But, what she really loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Juan; children, Tracy Gillam, Emilia Saucedo, and Juan Saucedo Jr.; grandchildren, Rebecca (John) Kennedy, Antonio (Dee) Saucedo, Marcos (Christine) Saucedo, Jessica Mirelez, Angelina (Torrion) Jackson, Jose Mirelez, Juan Saucedo III, Alize Saucedo, Aynia Saucedo, and Anthony Saucedo; 29 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Ann Garcia, Sue Romero, Joaquin (Clara) Castanon, Onesimo Castanon and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Maria was preceded in death by her brother, William Castanon Jr.; sister, Reyna Garcia; Brothers in-law, Felix Garcia and Ernie Romero Sr.
