Maria del Rosario (Rosie) Withers, age 71, went to be with our Lord, November 28, 2020. She was born April 24, 1949 in Monterrey, Mexico to Leandro and Maria del Carmen Ortiz Garza.
Rosie served her Lord in several ministries at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church with all her heart. She was a woman of strong faith and well known in the community as a “Prayer Warrior”. Rosie was also a proud member of the Cameron County Carmelites, where she served as secretary.
Rosie worked as a nurse for South Texas ISD Science Academy for 25 years. A job she dearly loved.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her daughter Yvette Mcintosh, son-in-law, Rob McIntosh, beloved granddaughters, Ally and Charlotte McIntosh, stepson, Donny Withers (Judy), sisters, Mary Pena, Carmen (Xavier) Galvan, and Leticia Schweigert, brothers, Leandro (Palmira) Garza, Rudy (Linda) Garza, and Jaime (Irma) Garza; along with many nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
