Maria D’Alessandro, 88, of Jersey City passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Maria was born and raised in Torella Del Sannio, Italy and immigrated to Jersey City 55 years ago.
Maria worked as a seamstress for 33 years until her retirement. She was a devout parishioner of Holy Rosary Church for 55 years. Maria’s love was her backyard full of tomatoes and vegetables then canning the sauce for Sunday pasta.
Maria was the beloved wife of Michele D’Alessandro; devoted mother of Carmela D’Alessandro; cherished grandmother of Michael Lombardi and his wife Lisa; loving daughter of the late Antonio and Carmela Ciamarra; dear sister of Gigetto Ciamarra, his wife Renata and son Tonino of Italy.
