Maria Bruno (DeCarlo), 79, of Toms River, NJ died on Thursday June 2, 2016 after a courageous 9 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Maria came to America from Italy landed in Newark, NJ where they started their family. Eventually moving to Toms River in 1973 the place they called home.
During her working years Maria was a seamstress for Gloria Vanderbilt and Sassoon. Sewing was her passion and she enjoyed it right up to the beginning of her illness. Like most Italian women she was an awesome cook and caretaker of her family.
She loved to circle the word puzzles and watched jeopardy and wheel of fortune daily. Maria leaves to cherish her memory to her husband of 60 years Frank, her two sons Giuseppe “Joe” and his wife Kelly and Vincent and his wife Susan and 5 cherished grandchildren Vincent, Chelsea, Marissa, Jodi, and Amanda.
