Marguerite H. (Grenier) Zaccara, 89, of Winsted passed away peacefully on June 29, 2022. Marguerite was born January 23, 1933, in Canada, the daughter of Elzear and Rosalina (Gelinas) Grenier. She attended St. Anthony’s and The Gilbert School in Winsted. She married Donald Zaccara, who predeceased her in 2000. They met while working together at Son-Chief Electric. She then went on to work for many years at Tiffany and Pickett Company, and then Homer D. Bronson Company. Marguerite was always a hardworking entrepreneur, even operating her own catering business. She was a devoted communicant of St. Joseph Church and always volunteered her services for functions. She was a member of the Italian American Women’s Club and The Giarbaldi Women’s Auxillary. Marguerite and her husband with their extended family loved living by Highland Lake. She was an avid duckpin bowler, enjoying playing on leagues for many years. She was known as a skilled party planner and was the social director at Laurel Commons where she resided for the last sixteen years.
