Marguerite M. Crabtree, wife of the late Oscar D. Crabtree, died peacefully at home in Roxbury, CT on December 5, 2013. Peggy was born to Ethel Forbes Mallan and John T. Mallan on October 24, 1923 in Mt. Vernon, N .Y. She grew up in Scarsdale, NY, where she attended the local schools. After graduating from Katherine Gibbs, she worked in Manhattan before marrying Oscar in 1943. Her husband and she spent most of their 60 years of married life in rural New England where Oscar managed purebred dairy farms. From 1960 on they called Roxbury their home.
Peggy’s life was happy and productive.
