Marguerite (Canniff) Freeman, 94, of Newington died on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014. She was the wife of the late Huel Q. Freeman. Marguerite was born in Brooklyn and raised in Manhasset, NY before moving to Newington. She was employed by Sage Allen for over 20 years and was an avid NY Yankee fan. Survivors include her son Maynard Freeman and wife, Sharon, her daughter Janis Fontana and husband Joe of Newington, four grandchildren: Georgia MacGregor, Craig Freeman and wife Kari, Melanie and Kyle Fontana and four great grandchildren.
