Obituary of Marguerite Ayers

Age 102, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2017. Born in San Francisco, CA; raised in St. Cloud, MN. Dear mother of Ronald (Elisabeth) of Blaine, David (Barb) of Mendota Heights; very special Grandma of Michelle, Mike, Theresa, Deborah, Mischy, Christina and Daniel and seven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett H. Ayers. As a young woman, Marguerite worked as a photographer and studio manager at Joske’s Dept. Store in San Antonio, Texas (“The largest store in the largest state”), where she met and later married Everett H. Ayers, a Lieutenant and Flight Officer in the U.S. Air Force. The newlyweds moved to St. Paul and built a home, where they lived for most of their 52-year marriage. Marguerite was a proud homemaker who dedicated her life to raising their two boys, and later babysitting grandchildren and attending their sporting activities and special events. Marguerite was very social; she loved to travel, bowl, and work on political campaigns. Her true passion, however, was photography and her camera was always in hand – well into her 90’s.
