Margot Maria Korslund, 88, Beatrice died Monday, January 16, 2017 at her home. She was born September 15, 1928 in Wurzburg, Germany. Margot graduated from Business College in Germany. She married John Korslund May 18, 1977, they lived in Germany and Italy where John was an administrator in the U.S. military schools and they moved to Beatrice in 2001. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Margot enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, especially German cookies and sharing them with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, John of Beatrice; son, Allen Mauney and wife Mishele of Olympia, WA; grandchildren, Amelia and Christof Mauney of Olympia, WA; step-son, Paul Korslund and wife Bernadette of Beatrice; step-daughter, Annette Korslund of Denver, CO; step-grandchildren, Claire Oglesby of Lincoln, and Eric Korslund and wife Katey of Virginia Beach, VA; step great-grandchildren, Joslyn Oglesby of Lincoln, Cameron, Charlie, Kingston, and Finn Korslund of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Hillde Paduano of Staten Island, NY and great-niece, Jasmina Elnahel of Staten Island, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudi and Else (Rottmann) Lehmann; and first husband, James Mauney.
