Margie L. Grossmann, 77, of Lafayette, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Franciscan Health, Lafayette East Hospital.
She was born October 13, 1944, in Green Hill, Medina Township, to the late Loy and Jeanette (Cottrell) Harmon. She was a 1963 graduate of Otterbein High School. She married Frank Grossmann on January 11, 1964, in Lafayette. Her preceded her in death on January 9, 2018. Margie worked at National Homes prior to her son being born. She then made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom and take care of her family. When Terry was 10 years old, she returned to work as an Executive Secretary for Lafayette Life Insurance.
Margie enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She loved to read and had read thousands of books in her lifetime. She also enjoyed going out to eat with Frank. Family was very important to Margie, and she cherished every moment spent with them, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Terry (Theresa) Grossmann of Lafayette; 3 grandchildren, Caleb Kemp, Katina Jackson, and Jeremiah Kemp; 2 great-grandchildren, Adeline and Anna Jackson; nieces, Patrice Castillo and Pam Hancock; nephew, Pete Castillo; 3 great-nieces; and 2 great-great nephews.
Along with her husband, Frank and her parents, Loy and Jeanette, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Billie Harmon and Robert Harmon and a sister, Patricia Castillo.
