Margie Hope Evinger, 86, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away August 6, 2015, at Meadows Manor North. She was born on July 22, 1929 in LaCrosse, Kansas to Elmer and Carrie Lee. She was raised in Cody, Wyoming. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll Evinger; four brothers Walt, Bob, Gilbert, and Gene Lee; a son, Walter Kimball; and a daughter Kathie Kimball. She is survived by her children; Monty and Linda Kimball of Beaumont, California, Deanna Kimball of Terre Haute, Indiana, John and Kimberly Rushing of Terre Haute, Indiana, James and Jan Evinger of Terre Haute, Indiana, Freddie and Linda Russell of Arizona, Claudia Fox of Wadesville, Indiana, and Pamela Hockett of Dyersburg, Tennessee; brother Ted and Jackie Lee of Cody Wyoming; grandchildren, Makenzie Kimball, Brandon, Kristen, and Madison Sweeney, all of Beaumont, California, Kris and Sebrina Riley, Lane Burke, Hannah and Seth Girton, all of Marshall, Illinois, Marandah Smith and Chris Fish of Terre Haute, Indiana, Charlotte Vaca and Sherry Corderu both of Desert Hot Springs, California, Jamie Kimball of San Luis Obispo, California, and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margie enjoyed being in the country, hiking, mushroom hunting, watching Court TV, and playing BINGO. She loved dogs and wildlife. She was a great storyteller. She was known for her sweet tooth. Margie was a woman who was wise beyond words, strong willed, and had a way of making people feel comfortable just by her presence. The woman she was can only be described as one of a kind. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her and will never be forgotten. The stories she shared and the person she was will forever be with us and will be passed on to future generations.
