Margaret Vincent Donnelly of Norwalk, passed away on February 18, 2011 at home. Born November 6, 1921 at Stamford Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Caywood Vincent, Jr. and Mary Foley Vincent of Ponus Ridge, New Canaan, where she was raised.
She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, Merrill Business School, worked for Thomas C. Vincent, Jr. Inc., Graybar Building in New York for three years, and was a member of the Women’s Board of Norwalk Hospital 35 years. She has been a member of St. Jerome Parish in Norwalk since its inception.
Margaret is survived by her loving children, Vincent Arthur Donnelly of Arkansas, Diane Ellen George [Richard] of Norwalk, grandchildren Kristen Marie Hennessy [Michael] of N. Attleboro, MA, Maureen Ellen Pechinak [Michael] of Powell, OH, Robert Winslow George of Old Bridge, NJ; great grandchildren Sydney Ellen and Braden M. Pechinak, Shane M. and Kaitlyn Marie Hennessy. She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia V. Murphy of Tequesta, FL and Ellen V. Nargi of Jacksonville, FL, brother-in-law Edward C. Bachman, and many dear nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband John J. Donnelly, Jr., a sister, Mary Vincent Bachman, nephew Edward Bachman, Jr., three brothers, Robert G. Vincent, Arthur R. Vincent and Thomas C. Vincent, sister-in-law Louise F. Vincent and brother-in-law Terrance J. Murphy, Jr.
