Margaret Stadler Douglas, 80, of 916 Spruce St., Martinsville, VA passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County. She was born on June 23, 1929 in Reidsville, NC to the late Roma H. Stadler and Grace A. Stadler. Also, she was the foster daughter of the late John R. Stadler and Lucille C. Stadler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Wilson Douglas and foster brother, William H. Cochran, Jr. Margaret was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church, Martinsville, VA. She completed her education in Richmond, VA public schools and attended many colleges in the Richmond area. She became a Technical Lab Supervisor with DuPont in Richmond, VA and later transferred to DuPont in Martinsville, VA, where she retired after 30 years of service. Surviving are a son, Gary Wilson Douglas of Martinsville, VA; a brother, Alan P. Stadler (Sylvia) of Myrtle Beach, SC and foster sister, Shirley C. Lavinder (James) of Martinsville, VA.
