Margaret Read Barlow, 99, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Kindred Transitional Care and RehabilitationCenter in Muncie. She was born June, 16, 1912, in DelawareCounty, the daughter of Samuel L. and Opal (Selvey) Read. She graduated from AlbanyHigh School and attended IndianaBusinessCollege in Muncie.
Mrs. Barlow was formerly employed at Beatrice Foods for thirty-seven years prior to her retirement in 1968.
She was a charter member of the Soroptimist Club.
Surviving are two grandsons, Rex and Gary Barlow, Louisiana; several great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Betty Read, Muncie; her daughter-in-law, Jean Barlow, South Bend; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Barlow, who died in 2004; and her brother, Walter Henry Read.
