Margaret “Peggy” Lacey a resident of Bergenfield for over 50 years was 80 years old when she passed away Thursday, August 18th. Born in the Bronx, Peggy was a graduate of Aquinas High School. She then went on to attend St. John’s University where she received a BS in Nursing. Peggy would later earn a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Montclair State University. She was always a very active member of her community and church. Peggy was a member of the Red Hat Society, Golden Ages of Bergenfield, Gilda’s Club of Hackensack, the Bergen Irish Ladies Auxillary of Dumont, the Bergenfield Library Club, the Tenafly Senior’s Center and the Church of the Ascension in New Milford where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Rosary Society.
Peggy is the beloved wife of the late James C. Lacey (2013). She is the loving mother of James R. Lacey and his wife Barbara, John B. Lacey and Francine, Nancy E. Lacey, and Christopher Lacey and his late wife Theresa. Peggy leaves behind her brother John Brandon and his wife Shelly. She was the devoted grandmother of Brandon Lacey, Juliana Lacey, Christopher B. Lacey, Jonathan Lacey, Lauren Lacey, Leanne Lacey, and the aunt of John Brandon and Claire Brandon, MD.
