Margaret “Peggy” Nairn Parcells, age 88, of Woodbridge and formerly of Stratford, beloved wife to Donald I. Parcells, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, January 7, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stratford, CT on December 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late George and Elsie Cosier Nairn. Growing up in Stratford, she was a Stratford HS graduate of 1942. She was employed with Bridgeport Brass Co. for many years where one of her responsibilities was that of a shell loader during WWII, and she also was a USO entertainer stateside, singing in the chorus. Peggy also worked for the former Winchester Repeating Arms Co. in New Haven, now Olin, until she and Donald married.
In addition to her husband, Donald of 60 wonderful years, she is survived by her daughters, Alisa Margaret Parcells of Woodbridge and Jacalyn Ann Parcells and her husband Michael Feldman of Glastonbury; her son, Donald Irving Peter Parcells, Jr. and his wife Irene of Easton and two cherished grandchildren, Margot Simeone and Olivia Parcells.
