Margaret “Margie”  Mockensturm, 94, of Weston passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Margaret was born on February 27, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Freidolin and Margaret (Schwarz) Denig. She married Daniel Mockensturm on August 2, 1952 and he preceded her in death. Margaret is survived by her children: Debbie (Ron) Tebeau of Wayne, Sharon (Don) DeMuth of Monclova, Kathy Swerlein of Bowling Green, Julie Mosher of Whitehouse and Dave (Melissa) Mockensturm of Toledo and over 90 loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Dennis; grandchild Sonia Dorst and a son-in-laws Jan Swerlein and Rib Jennings; brothers Raymond and Don Denig and a sister Barbara Denig.

Margaret was devout Catholic. She was very proud to be part of a family where her cousin was Cardinal and three aunts were nuns. In her earlier years, Margaret and her husband Dan, owned and operated Anthony Wayne Sporting Goods Store in Waterville, Ohio.  She was a member of the St Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Ohio, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Waterville, where she was a loyal volunteer, always able to help when called upon. Margaret along with her husband Dan, worked their organic garden and greenhouse, where they were only one of three certified organic gardeners in the state of Ohio in the late nineties. They took their products to the Downtown Farmers Market in Toledo, where they established many loyal customers. Margaret also had a love for animals. But most of all, Margaret loved being surrounded by her family.
