Since her retirement she has worked with her family at Bruner’s Restaurant. Maxine was a ray of sunshine to all the customers and staff at Bruner’s Restaurant whom she considered as part of her extended family and brought smiles to those of all ages.
Surviving are her daughter, Jan Haus, Muncie; her sister, Pat Bruner, Muncie; and special friends, Jama and Jan Richman, Daleville; Becky, James and Sarah Dunn, Muncie, and Chuck Hutchison, Muncie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, whom she considered as her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Haus; her daughter, Connie Sue Haus; and three brothers, Jack, Johnny and Don Faulkner.
