Margaret Marie Spell, 87, of New Castle, passed away on July 1, 2013 at the Middletown Nursing & Rehab. Center, Middletown. She was born on April 1, 1926 in Tennessee, and resided most of her life in Henry County. She worked as an insurance secretary for various agencies before retiring after 54 years of service.
She was a member of Suburban Home Economic Club for over 50 years, Madison County Insurance Women, Holy Tuesdays Bible Study, and Middletown Community Church. She enjoyed her church, baking, cooking and making candy.
Margaret is survived by her children, son, Jerry Paulene Whitinger, New Castle; son, Glen Becky Spell, Colorado; step-daughter, Kay Mattingly, Noblesville; grandchildren, Suzanne Mike Gallant, Columbus; Steffen Charlene Spell, Arizona; Carol McCormick, Middletown; Charlotte Brian Davidson, Colorado; Charles Laura Whitinger, Anderson; Ernie Spell, Pendleton; Leslie Justin Miller, Colorado; Darren Molly Spell, Colorado; Ronny Waters, Noblesville; Tim Waters, Anderson; Michelle Miller; Angie, and Joey Spell, Elkhart; 10 great grandchildren; and special friend, Mary Hanna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Spell, parents, Roy and Hannah Randolph, step-son, Joe Spell, and great-granddaughter, Brittney Luttrell.
