Margaret “Mackie” Madeline (Beaulieu-Lincoln) Smith, age of 77, from Cass Lake, Minnesota was called home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 12th, 2020 from the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN.  She was born on September 23rd, 1943 in Cass Lake, MN to Delores Butcher-Beaulieu and Joseph Lincoln.

Margaret lived her early years in Red Lake, Walker, Onigum and Bemidji.  She worked for the Leech Lake Reservation, at the Shooting Star Casino and for Beltrami and Cass County Human Services.  When she was not working, she was busy raising numerous grandchildren and three of her great grandchildren.  Margaret enjoyed going to country music concerts and she loved, and I mean loved her Elvis Presley.  She watched the Minnesota Vikings play football every Sunday …but her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers.  She also enjoyed watching the WWE every week.

Family that Margaret is reunited with are her husband, Kenneth Joseph Smith; daughter, Brenda; parents, Delores Day and Joseph Lincoln; grandparents, Elizabeth Aitken LaJeunesse and Arthur Butcher; siblings, Curtis, Bonnie, Iva and Robert and a granddaughter, Jaime.

She leaves behind her children, Bonnie (Joe) Beaulieu and Beverly Beaulieu both of Cass Lake, Robert Beaulieu of Bemidji, Kenneth Smith, Sr. and Dallas Smith both of Cass Lake; sister, Diana Fisherman; brother, Jim Day, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
