Margaret M. Pons, 87, widow of Robert E. Pons, passed away on Saturday February 27, 2010 at the Reservoir of West Hartford with her family at her side.
Margaret was born on June 7, 1922 in Bristol, CT a daughter of the late Frank and Michelena (Cappella) Masterbone. She was the last surviving member of the “Masterbone” family– sisters Sue and Viola, and brothers Harry, Joseph, Anthony, Philip and Frank. Margaret enjoyed a highly successful career in retail working at Dorothy’s Clothing Store and Michaels Jewelers. She also worked at New Departure Hyatt Bearings in Bristol where she retired in 1986. She enjoyed her retirement years with her husband of 59 years traveling.
