Margaret Lucile Miller, 98, of Chariton died September 13, 2014, at Westview Care Center in Indianola, Iowa.
Margaret was born to Edwin Robison and Bessie (Davis) Robison on October 7, 1915 in Lucas, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Jack E. Miller of Chariton on July 2, 1942, and they lived on the family farm until moving to Northridge in 2012. This year they reached their 72nd wedding anniversary.
After graduating from Lucas High School, she attended Simpson College and the University of Colorado before graduating from the State University of Iowa, in Iowa City with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She taught school in Whitefish Bay, WI as well as rural Hazel Dell (Iowa) and Iowa schools in Lucas, Derby, and Chariton. She retired in 1979 after more than thirty years of being a positive influence in the lives of her young charges.
Grandchildren brought great joy to her life and her faced beamed when she was around them.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gordon Robison; her son, David “Mike” Miller; and granddaughter, Katherine Miller. She is survived by her husband, Jack; her daughter, Patricia (Ron) Krahn of Indianola; daughter-in-law, Margaret Miller of Urbandale; grandchildren, Ellen (Keith) Knautz of Batavia, IL; Eric (Stephanie) Krahn of Waukee, IA; Jonathan (Amy) Miller of Des Moines; and Christopher Miller and Matthew (Emily) Miller, all of Portland, OR; Six great grandchildren also survive: Justin, Nathan, and Brandon Knautz; Ethan and Bennett Krahn; and Pierce Miller.
