Margaret Krider, formerly of Sugar Grove, IL died on Friday, September 24, 2021 at WinnPrairie Assisted Living and Memory Care. She was born on August 6, 1939 in South Dakota to the Late Elenor “Bonnie” (Thomas) and Martin F. Israel. The family soon moved to Pipestone, MN. She attended Pipestone High School and played the clarinet in the school band.

After high school Marge moved to Chicago with friends and worked at Illinois Bell. In 1962 she met Joe Krider at a bowling alley. They married January 19, 1963. They went on to raise three children in Sugar Grove. Marge held several office jobs, sold Fuller Brush and Avon. She then worked at Kaneland High School and finally retired from the United States Postal Service.

Marge belonged to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aurora for many decades. She enjoyed bible studies, working at the church garden, sewing, puzzles, reading and ceramics. Mostly she enjoyed being “Nano” to her eight grandchildren. There was nothing better than sleepovers with never-ending Disney movies. She was also well loved for her potato salad which was requested at every family get together.

Marge and Joe’s final years were spent in Freeport at WinnPrairie Assisted Living and Memory Care. They spent two years together until she was moved to the Memory Care Wing. We would especially like to thank the employees at WinnPrairie for their loving, professional, impeccable care of both Marge and Joe.

She is survived by her children, Michael Krider of Genoa, Patricia (Jeff) Meyer of Winnebago, and Kelly (Kelsey) Krider of Rockford. She also leaves behind two brothers, Louis (Bonnie) Israel and Donald Israel both of Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Glenda Greene of Danville, IL along with various nieces and nephews.

Her legacy includes eight grandchildren, Emily (Bryan) Kane of Chicago, IL; Lin (Rachael) Meyer of Aurora, IL; Rebecca (Chris) Chapman of Colorado Springs, Co; Madision Krider, Michaela Krider and Maggie Krider all of Yorkville, IL; Kael and Kendall Krider of Belvidere, IL; and two great grandsons, Finley and Rory Kane of Chicago, IL.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
