Margaret J. Taylor, 80, died Sunday, December 3, 2017. Margaret was born in Marion, Indiana on July 10, 1937, the daughter of the late Charles Calbert and Pearlie May (Kidder) Bartrum.

Margaret had worked for Foster Forbes for 25 years in both Marion, Indiana, and Los Angeles, California. She had lived in Los Angeles County, California for the past 34 years until her recent illness. She lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Fairmount and remained under the care of her children until her death. Margaret was known for her voluntarism in Downey and Whittier California. She was awarded many volunteer awards and was most proud of the Volunteer of the Year Award for Los Angeles County, CA. The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Great Lakes Hospice. Specifically, Pepper, Katherine, Viola, and the rest of the team provided care, support, love, and hugs with each visit.

Margaret is survived by her children; John A. (Christy) Taylor, Paul Mall, TN, William D. (Tina) Taylor, Topeka, KS, Elizabeth Jane (Ron) Smith, Fairmount, IN, Robert E. (Betsey) Taylor, Fishers, IN, Jacquieline A. (Rick) Marden, Fishers, IN, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, siblings; Bill (Karen) Bartrum, Converse, IN, Paul (Nellie) Bartrum, Marion, IN, Robert Bartrum, Converse, IN and Suzie Bartrum, Converse, IN.

Margaret is preceded in death by her grandson, Wiley C. Freel, her children’s father, John A. Taylor, Sr., brothers; Charles, Joe and James Bartrum, sisters; Shirley Kipps and Betty Blessing, as well as her parents.
