Margaret (Feitel) Gurland, 100, of Middletown, wife of the late Harold George Gurland, passed away on Thursday, January 6th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Amelia (Deutsch) Feitel. Margaret lived in Middletown most of her life, was a member of Congregation Adath Israel Synagogue in Middletown and was an active volunteer worker at Middlesex Hospital for greater than sixty years. Margaret will best be remembered as an avid walker, who would cover five miles every day, weather permitting, until her 90th year. She spent years wintering with her husband in Palm Springs, CA. She was a very kind and wonderful woman who lived her life giving to others. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
