Elaine Smith came into this world on June 21,1932. Her parents were John and Carrie Wagner. She was little sister to Jack, Gene, Bob, Francie and Marilyn. She was older sister to Carol, Dodie, Buddy and Gary. The Wagner family was a caring, loving family of 11 children. She grew up in CO. Bluffs Iowa enjoying her large family and all the activities. She loved playing the piano, dancing, and playing sports! She married Maurice James Smith on Aug. 7th, 1949 and resided in CO. Bluffs, Iowa, They had 3 children, Janelle, Jim and John. In 1959 they moved to Anaheim, California for her husband Jim, to pursue a career in Country music. Elaine was a supportive, loving wife and mother, who cared for her kids and family above anything. One of her favorite things was to make a big turkey dinner on Thanksgiving! She loved baking pies and cakes and had the cleanest house in America! In 1994 her and Jim moved to Arvada, Colorado. By then, Janelle married Jim Bratten and had 3 children, Dave, Steve and Sunni. Jim Smith married Lynda and had 4 children Jason, Shane, Branden and Ashley. John Smith married Dawn, and had 2 children Aspen and Morgan. They eventually moved to Colorado to join Jim and Janelle and family in Arvada, CO. They continued in Arvada while their grandchildren were growing up. The family continued to grow, adding 11 great grandchildren, Trace, Berlin, Sidney, Harley, Devlin, Elijah, Madison, Peyton, Josie, Reegan and Jayden. great great grandson, Westin. They called her GG, she loved seeing them and hearing their stories of growing up. Elaines husband Jim passed away in August, 2004. She was cared for and supported by her family after Jim deceased, She eventually moved to assisted living for needed care, and then her final home was at Clear Creek Care Center for her last 5 years. She was content and at peace during her last days and was deeply loved by her family and the staff at Clear Creek Care Center. She was a beautiful lady, with a big smile and positive attitude. She loved saying hi to everyone with her big smile! She always said she was fine!
