Mrs. Gwizdala passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Brian’s House at the age of 93. The daughter of the late William and Margaret (Bokhart) VanWert was born December 22, 1927 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Gwizdala was a member of St. Norbert Altar Society and enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, sewing, crocheting, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Gwizdala is survived by her children, Don (Deborah) Gwizdala, Linda (Dave) Pruitt, Kathy (John) Shasky, Gary (Lori) Gwizdala, Marlene (Scott) Miller and Mary Jo (Jeff) Sakoi; grandchildren, David, Michael and Eric Pruitt, Jeffrey, Justin (Samantha) Gwizdala, Krystina (Brett) Hunkins, Katie (Ryan) Sebald, Zachary (Salla) Sakoi and Alec (Megan) Sakoi; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille (Jerry) Kingsbury and Lorraine (Charles) Nichols. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Albin S. “Mike” Gwizdala, whom she married on April 12, 1947; brothers and sisters, Alfred, Raymond, Dorothy, William, May, James and Arlene.
